NBA transfer rumor: More teams involved in transfer talks for Lauri Markkanen

According to Mike Scotto, more and more teams are participating in the transfer talks surrounding Lauri Markkanen.

From Scotto’s article:

The Warriors, Kings, Spurs, Timberwolves and Pelicans are among the teams that have expressed interest in trading Markkanen, league sources told HoopsHype.

As for Golden State, Jonathan Kuminga is considered the team's best young transfer prospect. However, the Warriors ideally don't want to part with him unless he's an All-NBA player, as HoopsHype previously reported.

Sacramento has offered Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes and future draft picks across the league in the coming years to improve the roster, but Utah would likely covet up-and-coming young forward Keegan Murray, who Sacramento has identified as a centerpiece for the future.

San Antonio has several future draft picks, including young talents like Devin Vassell (who is considered a key piece), Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan.

So there you have it, the teams include the Warriors, the Kings, the Spurs, the Wolves and the Pelicans.

It appears that Kuminga is the best young player the Golden State Warriors could take with picks if this trade were to go through, while Keegan Murray is the player they would ask for from Sacramento. It's not clear if Danny Ainge also asks for the beam, but perhaps that could be included if he asks for it.

Based on the Mikal Bridges trade, the Jazz are probably asking for about 4-5 picks plus a young player. Would the Jazz budge if they got a promising player like Kuminga or Murray? Possibly.

The San Antonio Spurs are another interesting team to consider. Could the Jazz get the recently drafted Stephon Castle in a trade? Would the Jazz also demand the Atlanta Hawks' picks in the event of a deal? Those would certainly be very valuable picks if they could get them.

There are new rumors every day and it doesn't look like this will end anytime soon.
