An early leak allegedly shows a pink color variant of the Pixel 9

The central theses

  • Pixel 9 could be available in a new pink color variant.
  • Leaked videos show a flatter frame, symmetrical bezels, and a camera bar design.
  • The official design and features will be revealed at Google's Pixel 9 event on August 13th.

As we eagerly await Google's surprise Pixel event on August 13, a user on X (@hanibioud) claims to have gained access to an early sample of the Pixel 9, potentially giving us our first look at a whole new color variant of the smartphone.

We've been closely following all the rumors about the Pixel 9 and this is the first time we've seen an actual video leak of the device. If the leak is true, the Pixel 9 will have a new pink color variant. We're already expecting the Pixel 9 to shake up Google's design ethos a bit, with a flatter bezel, symmetrical display edges, and a camera bar design reminiscent of the foldable Pixel Fold.

Previous Pixel 9 leaks are likely accurate

If this video is true, then the prediction about the design change is correct, as you can see in the leaked video where Mohamed Bioud rotates the alleged Pixel 9 and shows off its flattened design, camera bar, and bright pink color variant. All eyes will be on Mountain View, California on August 13th when Google shows off the Pixel 9, but until then, we'll continue to track any possible hardware leaks and constantly update our Pixel 9 rumors hub to make sure you know everything about Google's upcoming release.
