Results of the second round of the 2024 Ohio Open Golf Championship in Westfield

WESTFIELD CENTER — A new leader emerged on Tuesday, but everything is still up for grabs at the 103rd Ohio Open Championship after the second round at Westfield Country Club.

Cincinnati professional Daniel Wetterich shot 63 (7 under par) on the North Course to secure sole first place with 9 under par. He will face plenty of competition in the final round on Wednesday on the South Course, with 10 golfers within three strokes of the leader.

Ali Khan, who is playing in the first round for Ball State University, is tied with three other players for second place at 8 under par. He is joined by Drew Salyers, a recent graduate of Indiana University, and Jake Fox, a former player at the University of Cincinnati, who both shot 5 under par 65 on the South Course on Tuesday.

Andrew Bailey, the defending Ohio Amateur champion, shot a 62 (8 under par) on Tuesday to set a North Course scoring record. Bailey moved into a four-way tie for fifth place at 7 under par. That group also includes defending Ohio Open champion Michael Balcar and fellow first-round leader Maxwell Moldovan, who each shot 68s on the North Course on Tuesday.

Bailey made birdies on five of his first nine holes on Tuesday, tying the North Course record held by 2021 champion Jake McBride. Wetterich made a total of five birdies and an eagle in his bogey-free round.
