The new Lonzo Ball training video shows him in loose movements and sharp turns

Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball is attempting a historic comeback in the NBA after missing nearly three years due to three different knee surgeries.

Ball's training videos have been pouring in all season, but a new video – posted by his coach Chris Johnson on Instagram – shows Ball moving around the floor in a relaxed manner and making sharp cuts.

After the NBA Draft, Vice President Artūras Karnišovas spoke to the media to provide some updates on the injured players, including Ball.

“He's making progress,” Karnišovas said of Lonzo Ball. “We don't know what he's going to look like in a month or two. We're just going to take it one step at a time and hopefully he'll be ready for training camp. He's continuing to work. He's coming here to train and then he'll continue his work in LA. We'll meet again next week. I think he'll be on the team in the summer league as well.”

Ball appears to be at the end of a nearly three-year recovery from three separate knee surgeries he has undergone since January 2022. He is attempting an unlikely comeback from serious injuries to his right knee that include a cartilage transplant.

But according to Karnišovas, he is almost completely healthy again.

“He can do pretty much anything on the field,” said Karnišovas. “We will continue to strengthen him and, as I said, in the next two months we will see how it looks.”

The Bulls expect Ball to return to training camp in the fall. Stay tuned.
