The top WR candidate for the Ohio State football team Jaime Ffrench commits in August

We're nearing the final stages for Ohio State University football prospect Jaime Ffrench, the 2025 wide receiver who once committed to Alabama.

Nick Saban's retirement has caused a stir across the college football landscape, including in Florida. At one point, it looked like the Buckeyes were out of the running for the nation's most promising player and the fifth-best player at his position according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

That has obviously changed, as the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Ffrench will make his choice on August 30, with LSU, Miami, Tennessee, Texas and Ohio State all still under consideration.

What's interesting about his recruitment is the fact that he has been interested in several schools, but now, according to On3's Chad Simmons, “has no leader.”

Ffrench has not yet scheduled an official visit to Ohio State, and until he does, it's hard to imagine the Buckeyes getting his commitment.
