The second round of the Watson Challenge began on Friday morning at Mission Hills Country Club. Julian Taylor, the current leader, finished his round with a birdie on hole 18 to reach an impressive 3 under par 67 strokes.

“Putting was the best part of my game today,” said Taylor, “I hit the ball really poorly.” Taylor made eight birdies in his second round and hopes to continue that winning streak in the final round.

Joseph Winslow, who also shot 67 for 3 under par, is in second place, one stroke ahead of Ben Hadden. Winslow made seven birdies in his second round, which helped him move into second place. “My mental game was the best part of my game today. I stayed focused and patient,” Winslow said as he walked off the eighteenth green. He is looking forward to the final round tomorrow.

Ben Hadden made a remarkable jump from 10th to third place after his second round. His bogey-free back nine and four birdies lifted him to a 3-under 67, putting him in sole possession of third place. Hadden's performance is a testament to his skill and determination, and he is definitely one to watch in the final round.

Amateurs Jackson Foth and Davis Cooper are in fourth place with even par. They still have a good chance of winning the title of best golfer in Kansas City.

Will King shot 4 under par and 66, the best round of the day.

The final round of the challenge begins on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Tom Watson will attend the awards ceremony after the round.
