Owen Cuffe threw a no-hitter and led the San Rafael Pacifics to a 5-0 road win over the Vallejo Seaweed on Thursday night.

Cuffe, who made 17 relief pitchers for Saint Mary's last season as a senior, threw 132 pitches in nine innings for the Pacifics (9-2 Pecos League), striking out 14 hitters and allowing just two walks.

Cuffe got some help in the first inning as the Pacifics scored four times. Mark Hernandez, John Bicos and Braxton King each hit a run-scoring single in the inning.

San Rafael added another run to tie the score in the second inning. Cuffe began the inning with a walk and then scored on a double by Hernandez.
