Culinary experiences around films at RoadHouse Cinemas

Ten years ago RoadHouse Cinemas opened its doors in Tucson and redefined the movie theater experience with its blend of convenience, movie-like food and entertainment at 4811 E. Grant Rd.

You can order food and drinks from a fully equipped kitchen and bar and have them brought directly to your seat in the theater.

This summer and beyond they are hosting Cinema Culinary Experiences.

For two nights only, Monday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 12, the RoadHouse team will be screening The Goonies at 6 p.m. There will be prizes, raffles, a pre-show party in the lobby and menu items inspired by the movie.

“We would like to invite you to our limited-time special screenings where you can enjoy carefully curated food and drink menus inspired by the film. These special menus are only available during the event screenings. Come on over!”

Tickets cost $6.95 per person.

The limited-time menu has yet to be released, but if you've dined at RoadHouse in the past, you'll be familiar with the movie-themed bites. Check out the daily menu for the Ghostbusters Burger with Bhut Jolokia, Find Nemo (a fish basket) and The Cluck Norris – a chicken sandwich “with a twist”.

Next month, on Monday, July 15, “Pulp Fiction” will be shown.

Soon…

Earlier this year, it was announced that the local theater had leased the former Bed Bath & Beyond building, which is just across the wall at the Crossroads Festival Shopping Center. They plan to kick up some dust and turn both buildings into one massive venue.

The plan is to set up 14 bowling lanes, an arcade with over 120 games, an axe throwing area and Topgolf Swing Suites – cozy lounge areas for gatherings.

Stay tuned to find out when the venue opens.
