Meghan Markle's husband from “Suits”, Patrick J. Adams, is looking forward to the film

The “Suits” universe lives on.

After the series became a huge success on Netflix last year and a spin-off was announced, some of the cast members hinted at a possible “Suits” movie during their reunion at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas on Sunday.

Patrick J. Adams, who played Meghan Markle's husband Mike Ross in the film, said he believed creator Aaron Korsh, who is working on the spin-off, would be on board for a film.

“Yes, and I say this as someone who has no power or authority, but obviously there's a Suits: LA series being filmed right now that Aaron is focusing on. I think he would agree with me,” said Adams, 42.

“But he's definitely interested in getting the band back together.”

Adams added: “So it depends on a million things whether that can happen, but is it possible? I think it's possible.”

The actor spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the event in detail about the possibility of a “Suits” film.

“I don't want to speak for Aaron, but his motivation is always the story. And when he sits there and comes up with something that really excites him – whether it's these characters or new characters like 'Suits: LA' – then something great happens when he gets energized about something.”

Adams continued, “I know he's excited about the idea of a film format for us, but I think his main job right now is getting Suits: LA off the ground.”

Sarah Rafferty and Dulé Hill, who attended the ATX TV Festival along with Abigail Spencer and Amanda Schull, confirmed that they would participate in a reunion film.

“Oh my God, we would have so much fun,” Rafferty, 51, told ET.

“That would be awesome,” said 49-year-old Hill. “I'm just saying.”

It was also announced on Sunday that the ninth and final season of Suits will be released on Netflix on July 1.

The first eight seasons were released on the streamer last year and led to an incredible resurgence in the show's popularity.

Markle, 42, starred as Rachel Zane in the series before giving up acting when she became engaged to Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex reacted to the new success of “Suits” at Variety’s “Women In Power” event in November.

“It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew,” she said. “We had a lot of fun. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a lot.”

“But these days it's hard to find a show that you can watch so many episodes of in a row, so that might have something to do with it. But good shows are timeless,” she added.

The “Suits” spinoff “Suits LA” was officially announced in February, with “Arrow” star Stephen Amell in the lead role.

The upcoming series is expected to feature entirely new characters and be set in Los Angeles, unlike Suits, which is set in New York.

According to NBC's description, the plot follows “Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York” who “has reinvented himself by representing Los Angeles' most powerful clients.”

“His company is in crisis and in order to survive he must take on a role he has despised his entire professional life.”
