Digital release date for Amy Winehouse film “Back to Black” is set

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Back to Black digital release date for Focus Features' latest biographical drama about the life of the late Grammy Award winner Amy WinehouseThis happened more than two weeks after the film's theatrical premiere.

When is the digital release date of Back to Black?

Back to Black will be available to rent or purchase on digital platforms starting tomorrow, June 4, 2024. The film has currently grossed $47 million worldwide. Despite its very low Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it still achieved an audience rating of 86%.

The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson from a screenplay by Matt Greenhalgh, who co-wrote Nowhere Boy in 2009. The film stars Marisa Abela (Industry) as Winehouse, Jack O'Connell (Ferrari), Eddie Marsan (Fair Play) and Lesley Manville (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris). The film was made with the full support of Universal Music Group, Sony Music Publishing and The Amy Winehouse Estate.
