Fans of “Britain's Got Talent” claim the final was “rigged” and the winner “has already been decided”

Some Britain's Got Talent viewers were unhappy with the outcome on Sunday night, expressing their disappointment on social media as Sydnie Christmas won the title. But Simon Cowell, the head judge, exclaimed that he couldn't remember a Britain's Got Talent final ever being so good.

Tension reigned in the studio as judges Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and the entire audience waited in silence for the result as Sydnie took on magician Jack Rhodes. It was a nerve-racking finale, but Sydnie secured victory with her stunning rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' in the live final on Sunday.

When presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced her name, she cried out in shock: “Oh my God,” before bursting into tears. When asked for a few final words, she was almost speechless. Finally, she managed: “I don't know what to say, I can't believe how much love I've felt. I'm overwhelmed with love and that's the most incredible thing. I wish everyone in this room felt that love like I do, it's incredible. Thank you so much.”

All four judges seemed pleased with the outcome as they stood and accompanied Amanda's golden buzzer on stage to congratulate her on her win. As the credits began to roll, Simon could be seen giving Sydnie a big hug on stage.

Viewers were delighted with the winner, with one saying: “Yeeeeeesss Sydnie!! Absolutely deserving winner, what an incredible voice and what a talent.” Another added: “SO GLAD SHE WON!” and yet another said: “Congratulations Sydnie, she's amazing and really deserves it.”

Others, however, were furious that the “already West End-based” star walked away with £250,000 in prize money and a performance at this year's Royal Variety Show, the Daily Star reported. One viewer wrote on X: “The audience have gone crazy again. Sharon Osborne said the show was rigged. Sydney [sic] Christmas was the winner before the show even started, we're being treated like idiots.”

Another response read: “Rigged. Quit this show immediately.” A third said: “Rigged as always. Wrong result, disappointed.” And yet another added: “Once again the wrong person won, I'm done with this show now and will not watch it anymore.”
