The Po' Ramblin' Boys reveal first single for 2024

East Tennessee bluegrass group The Po' Ramblin' Boys has released their first single of 2024, “Lonely Pine,” via Smithsonian Folkways. Premiering at the 2023 IBMA Awards, this song combines nimble guitar work with traditional, upbeat bluegrass to honor farmers and their deep connection to the land.

“'“Lonely Pine” is a farmer’s plea to the soil he has worked for many years and to a particular conifer on his property that speaks to him.”, says CJ Lewandowski of the group. “If you listen carefully, nature can guide you.”

2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the Po' Ramblin' Boys' formation as Ole Smoky Moonshine's house band. They have toured extensively over the past decade, showcasing their unique blend of pure bluegrass with touches of honky-tonk and traditional styles. This summer, the band will tour across the country, including appearances at Nashville's Station Inn and major festivals. Most notably, they will debut at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival on June 21, where they will perform alongside artists such as Madison Cunningham and Billy Strings.
